Princess Cruises announced that the Regal Princess will enter drydock in late April for essential maintenance.
According to a company statement, the maintenance addresses a technical issue that does not impact the ship’s safety, systems, or guest-facing amenities such as comfort, dining and entertainment.
All scheduled sailings, including the April 4 trans-Atlantic voyage to Southampton, will proceed as planned through early April.
Following the ship’s repositioning, the following Regal Princess voyages have been impacted:
- The April 18, 2025 sailing from Southampton is shortened from 10 days to six days, and will call in Falmouth, Cobh, Dun Laoghaire and Belfast. Guests will receive a pro-rated refund, future cruise credit, onboard credit and compensation for airline change fees.
- The April 28, 2025 sailing has been cancelled. Guests will receive a full refund, a future cruise credit and reimbursement for airline change fees.
Following the repairs in drydock in Rotterdam, the Regal Princess will resume service on May 9, sailing its European season with British Isles itineraries from Southampton.
“We understand how disappointing these changes are and we remain committed to making it right for our guests,” a spokesperson for the company stated. “We look forward to welcoming them back aboard for an unforgettable Princess vacation.”
