On Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, the Nassau Cruise Port welcomed the new Commissioner of Police for the Royal Bahamas Police Force, Shanta E. Knowles, and her executive team on an official tour of the port.
Collin Cleare, regional director of security and PFSO, and Edwin Fountain, deputy PFSO, escorted the group alongside the ships in port, and throughout the arrivals and retail areas, as they engaged with the port community and with visitors, the port said in a statement.
They also made a stop at the World Famous Straw Market.
“On behalf of all of us at Nassau Cruise Port, we extend our warmest congratulations to Commissioner Knowles on her recent appointment as the new commissioner of police,” said Cleare.
“We are excited to welcome her to this vital role and look forward to continuing to foster a strong and collaborative partnership with the RBPF to ensure the safety and security of our community and our visitors,” added Cleare.
“Together, we will continue to uphold the values of excellence and service and contribute to a brighter and safer future for The Bahamas.”
