Global Ports Holding (GPH) has welcomed Mindelo Cruise Port in São Vicente, Cabo Verde, to its network, making it the second GPH-operated port in Africa, following La Goulette Cruise Port in Tunisia.
According to a press release, the partnership with ENAPOR (Cabo Verde’s National Company for Port Administration) focuses on developing and managing the terminal to global standards. GPH will provide consultancy services and operational support under an agreement lasting about three and a half years, with an option to extend for two additional years.

Our expertise in cruise terminal operations and sustainable development aligns perfectly with Cabo Verde’s vision to elevate its standing in the global cruise industry. Together, we aim to create a world-class destination that celebrates the unique charm and vibrancy of São Vicente and Santo Antão.”
A key aspect of the partnership is the Cruise Destination Development Program (CDDP), which aims to enhance Cabo Verde’s appeal as a cruise destination through marketing initiatives, stakeholder training, and sustainable tourism practices aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Ireneu Camacho, chairman and CEO of Ports of Cabo Verde: “It is with great pleasure and satisfaction that I express our enthusiasm about the partnership between Ports of Cabo Verde and Global Ports Holding.
