Emerald Cruises proudly reached a milestone in the construction of its newest vessel, the Emerald Kaia, with a keel-laying ceremony held at MKM Yachts in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, during the week of December 27, 2024.
To celebrate the milestone, the company revealed updated renders showcasing the yacht’s design, offering a glimpse into the yacht’s features.
“The keel laying of Emerald Kaia marks another exciting step forward in our vision for redefining the yachting experience,” said Glen Moroney, chairman and founder of Scenic Group. “Building on the tremendous success of Emerald Azzurra and Emerald Sakara, Emerald Kaia reflects our commitment to innovation, luxury, and sustainability. We thank the skilled team at MKM Yachts for bringing this vision to life.”
Set to join the fleet in April 2026, the Emerald Kaia will accommodate 128 guests, with 88 percent of cabins featuring verandas. Key features include an Observation Sun Deck, a 50 percent larger spa, a swim-up platform for ocean access, enhanced marina facilities and new water toys like an inflatable slide.
The yacht will offer itineraries to destinations including the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Aegean and Seychelles, focusing on connecting guests to the sea and their surroundings.
