Island Princess Embarks on 2025 World Cruise

Island Princess

Another ship has started a world cruise as the Island Princess sails from Fort Lauderdale for a 116-night journey earlier this week.

Sailing roundtrip from Port Everglades, the sold-out cruise is now set to visit a total of 43 ports around the globe for Princess Cruises.

After departing from Florida, Princess’s 2025 World Cruise set its course to the Caribbean for a visit to Cartagena de Indias in Colombia.

The Island Princess is then set to cross the historic locks of the Panama Canal, heading to the Pacific Ocean for visits to destinations in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, California and Hawaii.

Before arriving in Australia, the vessel is also scheduled to make visits to Fiji and New Zealand, where it is set to offer scenic cruising at Fiordland National Park.

Following visits to Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle, the Island Princess arrives in the Indian Ocean, sailing to Mauritius and South Africa.

Making its way to Europe, the ship is then set to make an overnight visit to Cape Town before continuing to various destinations in the Atlantic, including Namibia, Cape Verde, Madeira and Gibraltar.

The Island Princess makes visits to ports in the Mediterranean, including Italy, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Malta, Montenegro, Spain and France.

Before returning to Florida, the Island Princess is also set to make stops in Morocco and the Canary Islands.

In addition to visiting 43 ports around the world, guests are also set to spend 68 days at sea cruising onboard the Island Princess.

Built by the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard, the 88,000-ton ship originally entered service for Princess Cruises in 2003.

In 2015, the vessel underwent a major refurbishment that saw the addition of 121 staterooms, as well as the creation of new public areas and facilities.
