The Adora Cruises ships have embarked on their Spring Festival-themed sailings, the company announced in a press release.
According to the statement, the cruises will celebrate the Year of the Snake while allowing guests to fully enjoy the Chinese New Year onboard the Adora Mediterranea and the Adora Magic City.
Sailing from Shanghai on Jan. 28, the latter is scheduled to offer a five-night Spring Festival cruise to Jeju, Fukuoka and Nagasaki.
The Mediterranea will sail from Guangzhou for a five-night cruise to Miyako Island and Okinawa on Jan. 28.
Both ships are festively decorated, the company said, showcasing Year of the Snake lantern displays and traditional New Year elements like the Pixiu offering red envelopes.
According to Adora, guests will also be treated to an array of Spring Festival-themed activities that focus on the essence of the Chinese New Year.
The vessels will also offer cultural heritage experiences, as well as a live broadcast of the Year of the Snake Spring Festival Gala.
Both cruises will offer themed presentations, including calligraphy events, music concerts and an interactive stage drama.
Adora is also planning a party lineup that will allow guests to welcome the first dawn of the New Year on the deck.
Following their Spring Festival cruises, the Adora Magic City and the Adora Mediterranea are scheduled to offer Lantern Festival sailings.
The Magic City sails from Shanghai on Feb. 10 for a four-night themed cruise to Jeju and Nagasaki, while the Mediterranea sails from Guangzhou on the same day, kicking off a four-night cruise to Vietnam.
During the special sailings, Adora said it will offer guests traditional festival experiences such as the Shangyuan Lantern Festival, lantern riddles, traditional palace lantern workshops and Lantern Festival garden parties.
There will also be seasonal autumn-winter health foods and cultural heritage snacks from various Chinese regions.
