Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady docked at the Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife for the first time on Dec. 5, marking its final European port call before heading to the Caribbean.
The port said in a press release that this event reinforces its role in connecting Europe and the Americas in the industry.
The port added that it will continue strengthening its position as a strategic destination on trans-Atlantic cruise routes.
Arriving from Funchal (Madeira), the Scarlet Lady was welcomed during an official event attended by Captain Luz Marina Espiau Moreno, head of commercial and business development, and Miguel Ángel Bonnet, member of the Commercial Team of the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The shi[‘s Captain and representatives of the ship’s agent, Incargo, were also present for the traditional plaque exchange ceremony.
During their stay in Tenerife, the ship’s passengers experienced the island, visited Teide National Park and volcanic sand beaches and experienced a gastronomic offering.
