Marella Cruises has introduced Play Wall, its first immersive interactive gaming experience aboard the Marella Discovery 2 following the ship’s recent refurbishment.
Neo Experiences developed the new feature.
Guests can choose from 28 games, ranging from Totem Craft to Rival Goals, accessible to individuals with disabilities, the company announced in a press release.
Play Wall is a complimentary activity for guests, who can reserve their spot through the onboard kiosk or the Navigate app.
Additionally, 370 cabins have been refurbished and unveiled, the company added. These cabins have new décor with artwork and upgraded wall coverings.
They feature new furniture, beds, fully renovated bathrooms, updated carpeting and improved balcony furniture. The upgrades extend across various cabin types.
The ship has also undergone significant updates, including refreshes to public areas.
Chris Hackney, managing director at Marella Cruises, said: “After undergoing extensive refurbishments, the Marella Discovery 2 is set to give customers an even better experience when she sets sail to the Canaries for the winter season.”
“We’ve invested in making large-scale improvements, revitalizing the lobbies and cabins and adding exciting new entertainment features like the dynamic immersive Play Wall,” added Hackney.
“We’re proud of the results and can’t wait to welcome passengers onboard to see their reactions.”
