Costa to Deploy Two Ships in South America for 2025-26 Season

Costa Diadema

Costa Cruises is deploying two ships in South America for the 2025-26 winter season, the company announced in a press release.

Returning for its third consecutive season in the region, the Costa Diadema will joined by the Costa Favolosa.

Both ships will offer itineraries between Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay between November 2025 and April 2026.

“We’ll continue to offer a strong selection of sought-after South American destinations for Brazilian guests, such as Buenos Aires and Montevideo, along with the option to embark from three different ports in Brazil – Santos, Itajaí and Rio de Janeiro,” said Dario Rustico, executive president of Costa Cruises for the Americas.

“Additionally, guests can expect, as always, a complete holiday experience onboard, featuring the best in hospitality, entertainment, dining and entertainment,” he added.

After arriving in the region on Nov. 23, 2025, the Costa Favolosa initially offers three- and four-night cruises from Santos to other Brazilian destinations, including Ihabela, Balneário Camboriú and Porto Belo.

A month later, the ship kicks off a series of eight- and nine-night cruises to Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay that sail from Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires and Montevideo.

The longer itineraries also include visits to additional ports in the region, such as Ilha Grande, Ilhabela and Balneário Camboriú.

The Costa Diadema arrives in Santos on Nov. 28, 2025, for three- and four-night cruises that also include visits to Itajaí and Ilhabela.

Starting in late December, the ship offers seven-night cruises to Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay departing from Santos, Itajaí and Buenos Aires.

According to Costa, bookings for the new deployment and repositioning voyages opened on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024.

Both the Costa Favolosa and the Costa Diadema are set to offer trans-Atlantic crossings between South America and Brazil at the beginning and the end of their winter seasons.
