Century Cruises has announced the appointment of Steven Kona Simao as vice president of sales at Century USA.

A certified travel counselor (CTC) and certified incentive specialist (CIS), Simao brings extensive experience across cruise brands, where he has led teams and implemented trade strategies that enhanced market engagement and sales performance in North America and beyond.

Most recently, as vice president of sales for Variety Cruises, he increased the brand’s awareness in North America and established key alliances with travel agency partners and consortia. Previously, he served as vice president of sales for Windstar Cruises, where he launched the “Star Promise” program, driving significant growth in agency sales.

David Fredericks, senior vice president of sales and marketing, said: “Adding an experienced, proven leader like Steven to our team demonstrates our dedication to the travel agent community. Fredericks also promised more exciting announcements soon.”

Earlier in his career,  Simao served as director of international sales for Holland America Line and Seabourn Cruise Line, where he expanded the brands’ global networks by developing strategic sourcing plans and strengthening their presence in emerging markets.
