David Fredericks has been appointed senior vice president of sales and marketing of Century Cruises, the company announced in a press release.

Century said that it is expanding its presence in the North American market, and Fredericks will play a pivotal role in its growth efforts.

“David is an ideal choice to lead our efforts in expanding Century Cruises’ presence in North America, given his outstanding record and strategic vision,” said Richard Xie, the company’s deputy general manager.

“His new role will focus mainly on growing Century Cruises’ revenue through strategic travel partner relationships and creating confidence with future guests,” added Xie.

Fredericks said: “I am extremely excited about the trust that has been placed in my hands by this esteemed team.”

“I am looking forward to connecting with all travel partners, corporate meeting planners, consortia partners and host agencies, continuing the cultivation of all relationships built in the past and creating momentum for the future.”

The appointment was effective as of Dec. 1, 2024.

According to the press release, Fredericks has experience across multiple cruise brands, having implemented strategies that transformed market engagement and sales performance in North America and beyond.

He has an established record of over 20 years in marketing, sales and business growth expertise, growing multiple distribution channels for the likes of Carnival Corp., Viking Cruises, Crystal Cruises and The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, among others.

Fredericks was most recently the vice president of business development of Oasis Travel Network-Smartcruiser.com.
