Aroya Cruises unveiled new details about the dining options aboard its first ship, the Aroya.
The vessel will feature 12 dining venues, including eight specialty restaurants, and 17 lounges and cafes, catering to a variety of tastes. The cruise line has also revealed the restaurants and lounges available exclusively to guests of its luxury Khuzama experience.
Restaurants aboard the Aroya include:
- Irth: Saudi Arabia’s first restaurant at sea serves traditional Saudi dishes like jareesh, haneeth, and saleeg. The menu highlights local products, breads and beverages, including Saudi coffee and Medinah’s mint lemon juice.
- The Fish Market: A seafood restaurant offers locally sourced fish like najel, hamour and shaour. Guests can select from an onboard seafood display and choose from service options such as Guéridon and silver service. Interactive activities are available for children.
- Space Diner: An American-style eatery inspired by space exploration features retro designs linked to the Saudi Space Agency. The menu includes dishes like astro-burger sliders and meteorite mac ‘n’ cheese, with specialty milkshakes reflecting outer space themes.
- Bamboo Kitchen: The Asian restaurant highlights dishes from China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Korea. The venue includes live cooking displays by chefs preparing items like Vietnamese pho, Chinese Peking duck, and Japanese sushi rolls.
Lounges aboard the Aroya include:
- Al Matal Lounge: An all-day venue with floor-to-ceiling windows offering ocean views. Guests can enjoy teas from Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Turkey, and England, paired with freshly baked pastries, or experience shisha on the indoor terrace.
- Legends Sports Lounge: A hub for sports fans featuring live sports broadcasts on multiple screens and adorned with sports memorabilia. The menu includes US and Arabian-inspired quick bites like nachos, sliders and mezze platters. It also offers the first charcoal shishas available on a cruise ship.
The exclusive Khuzama dining experience combines Saudi and French culinary styles with a rotating seven-day menu and live performances.
The Khuzama Lounge will offer light bites and treats inspired by local and international cuisine, available 24/7. Highlighted offerings include Spanish tapas and French pastries, complemented by live music.
Launching from Jeddah in December, the Aroya will also feature 20 entertainment venues, spa and wellness services. Guests will have access to a theater, climbing wall, mini golf course, kids and teens areas and a large retail space.
