American Cruise Lines unveiled its 2025 program, featuring eight new itineraries and a 51-day Great United States river cruise, according to a press release.
The fleet of 21 small ships will visit 125 U.S. ports across 35 states. Destinations include U.S. National Parks, from Alaska to the Smoky Mountains. New cruises will sail on the Mississippi River, Columbia and Snake Rivers, Potomac River, and Hudson River.
New itineraries for 2025 include a nine-day Maine Coast and Harbors cruise between Portland and Bangor, Maine, with a special Antiques Roadshow event on June 16. The company is also launching its first summer season of eight-day Hudson River Summer Classic cruises between New York City and Albany, New York, alongside its popular Fall Foliage cruises.
In the Southeast and Chesapeake Bay, the line is adding a third itinerary, an eight-day Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay cruise between Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, D.C. This marks the return of American’s ships to dock in the Nation’s Capital for the first time in 80 years. Additional Chesapeake Bay cruises in 2025 include 11-day American Revolution cruises and eight-day Chesapeake Bay cruises, both departing from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore.
In the Southeast, the company will offer a 15-day Grand Florida Coast and Keys cruise between Amelia Island and St. Petersburg, Florida, which includes visits to Key West, Dry Tortugas, and Everglades National Parks. Also available will be shorter eight-day Florida Gulf Coast and Keys getaways and eight-day Great Rivers of Florida cruises. Additionally, a new nine-day Southeast Sea Islands cruise will feature new shore excursions and hotel stays in Charleston or Amelia Island.
On the Mississippi River, American is launching a 12-day Mississippi Explorer itinerary between New Orleans and Memphis, with new stops in Tunica and Cleveland, Mississippi. The company will also offer a nine-day Ohio River cruise from Louisville to Pittsburgh and a 16-day Grand Ohio River cruise from Pittsburgh to St. Louis.
