On Jan. 1, 2025, Adora Cruises’ first newbuild, the Adora Magic City, will celebrate the first anniversary of its maiden commercial voyage.

The company said in a press release that on the anniversary, it will join hands with CCTV News Shine China Red for media coverage.

“The first anniversary of the successful operation of Adora Cruises is not only a milestone in the development of Adora Cruises but also marks a breakthrough in the independent operation of China’s cruise industry from zero, which has played a positive role in the popularization and promotion of China’s cruise culture,” said the company.

“(It has also) enhanced the influence and competitiveness of Chinese cruise brands in the international market,” added Adora Cruises.

According to the press release, CCTV News will also launch a series of reports, working with Adora Cruises to demonstrate China’s manufacturing potential.

The company has also launched a Anniversary Flash Promotion to celebrate the occasion, which introduces benefits such as limited-time discounts, free tickets for the third and fourth people in the family room and free onboard credits.

Since its maiden commercial voyage on Jan. 1, 2024, the Adora City Magic has successfully operated 84 voyages, serving more than 300,000 domestic and foreign guests in total, according to the company.

In 2025, the Adora Magic City will continue its year-round operation with Shanghai as its home port, sailing more than 80 cruise routes ranging from four nights and five days to seven nights and eight days to destinations in Japan and South Korea.

“In the future, we will continue to deepen the innovative cultural tourism model of ‘cruise and culture’, further create a high-quality luxury cruise vacation experience and continue to promote the high-quality development of China’s cruise industry,” said Adora Cruises.
