MSC Cruises Introduces New Tier to Voyagers Club Loyalty Program

Blue Diamond

MSC Cruises is rolling out updates to its loyalty program, the MSC Voyagers Club, the company announced in a press release.

According to the statement, the changes include a new loyalty tier and are aimed at making cruising with the company even more rewarding.

Sitting on top of the program’s current four tiers, which range from Classic to Diamond, the new Blue Diamond level unlocks a series of extra exclusive benefits, MSC said.

Among the new benefits is a free onboard internet package, which will be available for one device per member.

Blue Diamond guests will also be able to take advantage of flexible check-in times, using priority embarkation and luggage drop-off services.

Other benefits include free tickets for shuttle services in selected ports, as well as invitations to meet-and-greet opportunities with the ship’s captain and officers.

These new perks come on top of the existing Diamond tier membership benefits, which include a free meal at one of the company’s specialty dining venues and a one-hour free admittance to the ships’ thermal (spa) areas, MSC said.

Both Diamond and Blue Diamond members will be given the highest priority for a cabin upgrade should one be available, the company added.

According to MSC, to make the new Blue Diamond tier truly rewarding to its most loyal guests, the Blue Diamond tier is only reachable by sailing with MSC Cruises and not via the Status Match Program.

Introduced in 2022, the program allows members of loyalty programs run by other cruise lines, hotels and tour operators can also transfer to the MSC Voyages Club.

Another new benefit for all MSC Voyagers Club levels is the validity of their membership, which has been extended from three to five years.

“This means guests have more time to move through the membership tiers to access more benefits, just needing to cruise once every five years to retain their membership,” the company said.

The Voyagers Club refresh also sees enhanced benefits across all levels of the loyalty program, MSC Cruises noted.
