Lisbon Cruise Port Wins at World Cruise Awards

Lisbon Cruise Port Awards

The Lisbon Cruise Port has been recognized as Europe’s Best Cruise Terminal, while the city of Lisbon has been named Europe’s Best Cruise Destination at the fourth annual World Cruise Awards, according to a press release.

The event was held in Funchal, Madeira.

This is the second time the Lisbon Cruise Port has received this accolade, having previously won in 2022.

Said to be known for its world-class facilities and integration with Lisbon’s cityscape and the Tagus River, the terminal surpassed competition from ports in Barcelona, Oslo, Valletta and Amsterdam.

In addition to this milestone, the city of Lisbon also won its second title as Europe’s Best Cruise Destination, following its first win in 2021.

According to a recent press release, this recognition solidifies Lisbon’s reputation as a premier cruise destination.

“This recognition is a proud moment for Lisbon and its cruise terminal, highlighting our excellence in providing a welcoming gateway to our city,” said Duarte Cabral, general manager at Lisbon Cruise Port.

“It reinforces our commitment to delivering an unforgettable experience for visitors. Being named Europe’s Best Cruise Destination once again showcases Lisbon’s vibrant charm and unique blend of history, culture, and modernity.”
