Global Ports Holding Extends Support in Response to Flooding in Spain

GPH Valencia

Global Ports Holding (GPH) has contributed €250,000 to support emergency response and reconstruction after severe floods devastated Valencia, Spain, according to a press release.

This funding is directed to the Valencia Government and will aid in search, rescue and rebuilding efforts, helping communities most impacted by the disaster. Coordinated with the Spanish government’s response, which deployed 2,000 soldiers, 2,500 Civil Guard members, and 1,800 national police officers, this assistance reflects GPH’s commitment to supporting local communities and providing relief to those affected, the company stated.

“Our thoughts are with all those affected by this tragedy,” said Javier Rodriguez Sanchez, GPH regional director – West Med and Asia. “We are committed to standing with our communities in times of crisis and are grateful to the rescue teams, volunteers, and local authorities who are working tirelessly to bring relief to the region.”

In addition to this donation, GPH encouraged its port network to continue supporting Valencia’s recovery efforts.
