Disney Treasure Makes Inaugural Call to BVI

Maiden Call

The British Virgin Islands (BVI) welcomed the Disney Treasure to Tortola on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2024, on its inaugural call to the territory with 2,978 passengers and 1,713 crew onboard the ship, according to a press release.

A plaque exchange ceremony was held onboard the ship, which is Disney Cruise Line’s newest vessel.

The inaugural visit was commemorated by Captain Marco Nagara; Minister of Communication and Works Honorable Kye Rymer; BVI Ports Authority officials; BVI Government representatives; Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) representatives, and Disney’s local agent.

According to a statement, the ceremony underscored the partnership between Disney Cruise Line and the BVI.
