Viking Cruises announces record sales for January 2023, according to a press release.

The company experienced its most successful single month of bookings in its history, with most of its top 20 booking days occurring during January, according to a company statement. Viking also said January had the company’s best ever single booking day in history.

“We are pleased that our approach to destination-focused voyages continues to resonate with curious travelers, and we look forward to welcoming even more guests on board around the world in in the years to come,” said Torstein Hagen, chairman of Viking.

Viking said European river itineraries were booking well, with the most popular cruises being an eight-day Rhine Getaway between Basel and Amsterdam, an eight-day Romantic Danube cruise between Budapest and Regensburg, a 15-day Grand European Tour between Budapest and Amsterdam, and an eight-day Paris to Rouen to Paris voyage.

The company said that due to strong demand, it has opened early 2025 ocean itineraries, including an eight-day Western Mediterranean sailing, a 10-day Empires of the Mediterranean sailing, and a 15-day sailing from Bergen to Stockholm.
