Atlas Ocean Voyages’ World Traveller, which debuted last year, will visit the Arctic, Norwegian Fjords, Iceland, and Greenland in the summer of 2023.
“Our Arctic itineraries have been carefully planned so guests can immerse themselves in the destination,” said James Rodriguez, the Atlas Ocean Voyages’ president and CEO.
“As this is the first season for World Traveller, explorers have the opportunity to experience this remote region in comfort and at very appealing introductory fares.”
Itineraries planned will feature up to two outings daily, allowing guests to admire wildlife and ice formations via Zodiac boats. The precise landing sites will be determined by the Expedition Leader and the captain and will depend on the weather as well as wildlife.
Prices for cruises aboard the Polar Category C- and Ice Class 1B-certified ship start from $7,999 while the second guest sails free.
The 11-night and 13-night expeditions are scheduled for August 6 and August 19 and are roundtrips from Longyearbyen.
The World Traveller will also embark on an eight-night expedition on August 11, from Tromso, Norway, to the Svalbard archipelago. A ten-night expedition that departs on August 30, takes travelers from Spitsbergen to Iceland.
After this, the World Traveller will offer a nine-night Iceland circumnavigation departing and ending in Reykjavik. The voyage departs on September 9 followed by an eight-night expedition to Edinburgh, Scotland, via the British Isles departing on September 18.
