Seattle’s Cruise Season Hiring Kicks Off on March 4

Seattle

The Port of Seattle announced that full and part-time, flexible-schedule jobs will be available from April 2023 when the cruise season returns to the port, according to a press release.

“Cruise season team members welcome visitors to the region and help make the summer safe and successful,” said Linda Springmann, director of cruise operations and maritime marketing for the Port of Seattle.

“These unique jobs offer a behind-the-scenes opportunity in both the tourism and maritime industry. They can either be a flexible short-term opportunity or an entry point to some of the most critical industries in our region.”

The hiring program of terminal operators and shoreside services that support cruise activity out of Seattle will kick off with a job fair at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center at Pier 66. The fair is scheduled for March 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Those interested can find details including links to job applications, free parking and other logistics at the Port’s official website.

At the job fair, ten different employers will provide details regarding the cruise season jobs that pay between $20-25 per hour.

In 2023, the Port of Seattle expects to welcome 291 cruise calls and over 1.4 million revenue passengers between April and October.
