Princess Cruises has revealed glimpses of its newest ship, the Sun Princess, scheduled to debut in early 2024, according to a press release.
“With the construction of any new ship, we have the incredible opportunity to design standout spaces with our guests’ preferences in mind,” said John Padgett, president of Princess cruises.
“With the new platform and size of Sun Princess, we’re uniquely able to refresh venues we know our guests love and expand upon, redesign and elevate them to the next level. We know our sun-inspired designs will exceed expectations and elevate the entire Princess experience.”
Currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, the largest Princess Cruises ship ever built will accommodate a total of 4,000 guests and will represent a completely new class of ships for the cruise line.
The Sun Princess will feature a bright design, expanded spaces and a range of amenities such as the Arena theater and a three-story dining venue (pictured), which is a first for the cruise line.
The three decks will each feature a different design and offer different dining experiences, the company said.
The Princess Arena will be the most technologically advanced for Princess Cruises so far and will accommodate a little over 1,000 people.
Additional highlights of the Sun Princess include Alfredo’s Pizzeria, Princess Casino, Crown Grill and Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria. As for entertainment, the Princess Live! program will include a range of activities such as game shows, trivia and the daily Wake Show.
Other spaces with updated designs will include Crooner’s, Wheelhouse Bar, International Cafe, Good Spirits and Gelateria.
