Emerald Cruises announced that it has partnered with News Corp Australia for an eight-part travel show “Escape To…” hosted by Merrick Watts, according to a press release.

“Scenic Group is delighted to be a primary partner of Escape’s innovative digital travel show called Escape To…. This is the ideal platform to showcase Emerald Cruises luxury yacht and river cruises to the readers of Escape. We are excited to be part of the Escape To… launch program, with Emerald Azzurra featured in the first episode. This signifies our commitment to investing with News Corp Australia in innovative digital partnerships, to deliver high-quality travel content and inspirational stories,” said Anthony Laver, Scenic Group, general manager of sales and marketing.

The show contains eight 16-minute long-form episodes and is hosted on a digital platform and can be watched anywhere on any device. Viewers will get an exclusive Hot Deal and have a chance to win a yacht or river cruise with Emerald Cruises, worth up to $27,720 including flights.

“Escape To… highlights the unique experiences on board our luxury yacht and river cruises, bringing them to life in an inspiring and entertaining way. It will challenge viewers’ perceptions of what small-ship cruising is like. You’ll see the presenters hiking, canoeing, and cycling through Provence for example,” said Angus Crichton, Emerald Cruises director of sales, marketing and product.

“And the ability to watch each episode anytime and anywhere aligns with Emerald Cruises ethos of innovation.”

The show will launch on Sunday, February 12 and the first episode will feature Emerald Cruises’ yacht, Emerald Azzurra, as the presenters enjoy an eight-day French and Italian Rivieras cruise. The show team will also explore Menton, Portofino, and Portoferraio on Elba Island

The third episode of the show, which will air on February 26, will feature Emerald Cruises’ Emerald Liberté during an eight-day Sensations of Lyon and Provence voyage.
