Cunard Doubles its Fam Trip Program for 2023

Three Queens

Cunard has announced that it has doubled its fam trip program for 2023 giving 160 agents the opportunity to sail aboard its ships.

Cunard will be hosting agents on eight separate voyages compared to the four it ran in 2022.

Tom Mahoney, director of UK sales at Cunard, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have doubled the number of agents we’ll be hosting on our ships this year. Fam trips are always a fantastic opportunity for agents to immerse themselves in the Cunard experience and to really get a feel for what makes our brand so special. I’m sure that agents who’ve never sailed with us before will have the time of their lives and might also be pleasantly surprised by the relaxed, playful, and personable atmosphere on board.

“We’re so excited to have the opportunity to showcase some of our incredible shore excursions to agents, as well as a wide variety of luxury onboard experiences, such as cocktail masterclasses and spa treatments. We know that once agents have sailed with us, they feel a greater affinity with Cunard and that can only be a good thing for our brand and for our network of agent partners.”

Itineraries on offer include a seven-night trip to the Norwegian Fjords aboard the Queen Mary 2, a three-night fly-cruise from Barcelona to Rome aboard the Queen Victoria and a seven-night voyage to Alaska on the Queen Elizabeth.

Travel agent Shauna McDonald embarked on a fam trip to Amsterdam aboard the Queen Victoria in November and has shared her experience.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience sailing with Cunard. Queen Victoria is a truly stunning ship. I loved the modern décor, and she really reflects the Cunard brand with sophistication, charisma, and the feeling of freedom,” said McDonald.

“Each member of her crew was welcoming and professional and the service was impeccable from start to finish. A special mention goes out to my stateroom steward who made up my room beautifully each day.

“Although I enjoyed many things about my time on Queen Victoria, I’d have to say the food was my favorite. It was great to find a wide range of eateries on board, which made for a really diverse experience across a four-night sailing.

“The performance I saw in the Royal Court Theatre was also fantastic; I can’t fault the caliber of entertainment offered by Cunard.”
