Atlas Ocean Voyages announced that Chef Rudi Scholdis will be a featured “Gastronomic Guest” on select Epicurean Expeditions this spring, according to a statement.
“Our new Epicurean Expeditions provide an immersive culinary experience for explorers who also enjoy food and wine,” said James Rodriguez, president and CEO of Atlas Ocean Voyages.
“We are thrilled to welcome Chef Rudi to the Atlas Ocean Voyages family.”
Gastronomic Guests on these expeditions will include locals who will provide insights into regional delicacies as well as culinary experts who excel in continental cuisine. Guest chefs will accompany the special “Cultural Immersion” tours focused on cuisine.
“I am very pleased to be a part of Atlas’ inaugural Epicurean Expeditions in Europe,” said Scholdis.
“Ship size is very important in Europe. It’s wonderful to cruise on a yacht and dock in the city center so you can walk down the gangway to a local market or café.”
Scholdis will be featured as a guest on the World Traveller from April 15 until May 31 and again from July 15 to August 15, 2023. In September and October, Scholdis will be featured on the World Navigator.
Scholdis has worked with culinary stars including Alain Ducasse and Charlie Trotter. He has prepared food for many famous figures including Queen Elizabeth II, President Bill Clinton as well as a number of Hollywood stars.
The cruise line’s Epicurean Expeditions are designed for guests who appreciate food and wine. From April through October 2023, guests can enjoy the cuisine of European ports and learn from guest chefs and sommeliers who will be onboard.
Guests can also take advantage of the limited-time offer and receive two free culinary or wine-themed shore excursions on expeditions departing on April 15, April 22 and April 29.
