Aurora Expeditions Set For East Greenland

Aurora Expeditions announced the expansion of its deployment toEast Greenland by exploring Greenland’s northernmost tip, according to a press release.

“We invite you to join us and be part of a trailblazing ‘exploratory voyage,’ where the itinerary is driven by nature and Aurora’s genuine spirit of exploration,” said Hayley Peacock Gower, chief marketing officer.

“Aurora Expeditions continues to focus on increasing awareness of the thought-provoking and inspiring regions it visits through immersive and educational experiences to create life-long advocates of our planet.” 

The Greg Mortimer will set sail from Reykjavik, Iceland on a 14-day East Greenland Explorer voyage on August 15, 2023. 

The ship will sail Germania Land and on to Kronprins Christian Land in Northeast Greenland allowing travelers to enjoy the scenery, icescapes and wildlife.

Aurora explained that the journey will depend on the weather and ice conditions but the goal is to go north towards Kronprins Christian Land, the location of the Sirius Patrol of Northeast Greenland National Park, the only military dog sled patrol in the world.

The Expedition Team will plan the daily activities ranging from exploring on land or cruising along fjords and admiring the wildlife.

Prices for the East Greenland Explorer expedition begin at $13,795 per person. Travelers have the opportunity to save 10 percent if they book and deposit a journey before February 28, 2023.
