Ambassador Cruise Line commissioned a survey of 2,000 Brits to reveal their favorite Valentine’s Day romantic activities that people enjoy while traveling.
“Holidays provide the perfect opportunity for couples to reconnect and reignite their passion for one another while discovering new and exciting places,” said Phil Gardner, spokesperson for Ambassador Cruise Line.
“This Valentine’s Day, we want to encourage people to swap the typical gifts for a cruise holiday with their other half instead – we are confident that a sailing with Ambassador will provide ample opportunity to take part in romantic, meaningful couples activities.
“Gaze over the horizon at some of the most incredible sunrises and sunsets in the world, walk hand in hand while discovering new destinations and get your flirt on over dinner at one of our many onboard restaurants serving outstanding international cuisine.”
According to the results, the most popular activity across all demographics is watching the sunrise/sunset together (51 percent). The second favorite activity is holding hands (26 percent) while enjoying a holiday. A close third favorite activity turned out to be flirting over dinner (24 percent) and kissing (24 percent).
Other activities participants voted for included having a picnic (15 percent) and enjoying a hot tub together (17 percent).
In light of these results, Ambassador is encouraging guests to give the gift of travel to their partner this Valentine’s Day and take advantage of its Turn of Year offers for sailings departing from March through April. The offers are valid until the end of February and guests can save up to 30 percent off selected cruises including the Grand Round the World sailing.
The extended Turn of Year offers also include discounts on drinks packages, including 50 percent off the Explorer Package; upgrades to the Explorer Package for just £16.50pppn and upgrades from the Saver Fare to an Ambassador Fare for an additional £7.50pppn.
