Ship on Ship: Variety Cruises Transfers Panorama II

Panorama II

Ahead of the launch of Tahiti as the cruise line’s newest destination, Variety Cruises transported the Panorama II with DYT Super Yacht Transport.

DYT Super Yacht Transport offers a float-on, float-off transfer system for superyachts. The yacht was loaded in Genoa on November 23, 2022, and arrived at Papeete on January 6, 2023, just in time for the inaugural sail on January 13.

The ‘boat on boat’ method shows the cruise company’s commitment their Clean Oceans of All pledge and contributes to their continuous effort to reach a carbon-neutral status by 2050, according to a press release.

The benefits of this transport system is safer delivery of the ship with less wear and tear as well as reduced carbon footprint at sea.

Starting in January 2023, Variety Cruises will sail French Polynesia’s Society Islands aboard the Panorama II with a maximum capacity of just 49 guests for the first time ever. The adventure promises intimacy for its passengers along with a low-impact experience on its destination.
