The first month of 2023 has shown a promising year ahead with many cruise companies reporting record bookings in January.

Here is a recap of all the cruise companies that saw a significant increase in bookings this month:

Holland America Line
Holland America Line said that bookings in the third week of January were the highest on record for any January week for the Carnival brand. January 17 was the highest single-day bookings for any January day on record. This is the fourth Carnival Corp. brand to report record January bookings, following P&O Cruises UK, AIDA and Cunard.

AIDA Cruises
AIDA Cruises saw record cruise bookings in January and the bookings cover the entire 2023 program, according to a statement.

Ambassador Cruise Line
Ambassador Cruise Line said that its booking revenue was up 341 percent year-on-year for the first two weeks of January. The company attributed this to the fact that Brits are seeking higher value for their money, according to a survey commissioned by the cruise line.

Cunard
Cunard experienced its strongest start to wave season with more booked guests in the first week of January than any equivalent period in the last decade.

SeaDream Yacht Club
SeaDream Yacht Club recorded a strong start to the wave season with the best booking week in the history of the company. The company  attributed this success to travelers’ increased demand to return to their favorite destinations

Nicko Cruises
Nicko Cruises revealed that Friday, January 13 and Monday, January 16 were the two best booking days in the company’s entire history, seeing the most volume ever. The building momentum began in December and the trend continued into January.

Hurtigruten Group
The Hurtigruten Group saw record bookings for future sailings for all three of its brands, Hurtigruten Expeditions, Hurtigruten Norway and Hurtigruten Svalbard. In the first 14 days, the company reported bookings were 136 percent higher than for the same period last year.
