Cunard Sees Strongest Start to Wave in the Last Decade

Queen Elizabeth in Aruba

Cunard has reported its strongest start to wave season with more booked guests in the first week of January than any equivalent period in the last decade, according to a press release.

It’s the third Carnival Corp. brand reporting a strong start to the year, following AIDA and P&O.

Carnival UK president, Sture Myrmell said: “Following two of our strongest booking periods in 2022, we have seen unparalleled bookings during the start of Wave.”

“We’ve increased our marketing investment significantly, including the use of TV advertising for the first time as we reach and appeal to new audiences. It’s clear that guests are looking forward to stepping back on board both in the UK and across all our global markets.”

The cruise brand has seen strong bookings for its 2023 and 2024 sailings while summer itineraries and the Queen Anne’s maiden season prove to be most popular among travelers.

Cunard currently has a special offer for cruises booked before February 28, 2023. Guests who book a 2023 or 2024 voyage prior to this date receive additional money to spend on board. The additional onboard credit can be anywhere between $200 and up to $1,000.
