P&O Cruises’ Arvia made its inaugural call to Tortola, the British Virgin Islands on January 23, according to a statement released by the Territory’s Ministry of Communications Works.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Communications and Works Kye M. Rymer welcomed the Arvia on its inaugural call to the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park on Monday.
Rymer and the Junior Minister for Alvera Maduro-Caines presented a plaque to Captain Paul Brown on behalf of the Government and people of the Virgin Islands to commemorate the ship’s first visit to the Territory.
The Arvia will head towards La Romana, Dominican Republic next before visiting Philipsburg, St. Maarten. The ship will end its 22-night Caribbean voyage (which departed from Southampton, England) in St Johns, Antigua on January 28.
The Arvia will offer Caribbean voyages through April 2023 when the ship will set sail for the Mediterranean. All Mediterranean cruises will be roundtrips from Southampton, England.
