Antigua Completes Homeporting of P&O Arvia

Arvia

Antigua Cruise Port announced the successful homeporting of P&O’s Arvia which arrived at St. John’s on Saturday, January 28, 2023.

The Arvia made its inaugural call at the Fifth Berth where it also conducted homeporting operations.

General Manager Dona Regis-Prosper said: “This is an occasion for celebration. This is also an occasion to celebrate the partnership we have with P&O Cruises.”

Paul Brown, the Arvia’s captain expressed his gratitude and said: “We really do appreciate all the work that you have done to accommodate these larger vessels.”

Prosper said the successful embarkation process of the homeporting operations was a combined effort of the Ministry of Tourism, the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, the Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority, the Customs and Excise Division and the Immigration Department.

“The Arvia will be homeporting here every other Saturday until March 11 during this season and we anticipate that each exercise will go smoothly as they have today,” said Prosper.

The ship will return for more homeporting operations in November 2023.
