American Queen Voyages has announced new additions to the sales team, according to a company statement.
The company has promoted industry veteran Janelle Valentino to director of national accounts. In addition, American Queen Voyages has hired Brandon Appel as a regional account manager.
“The realignment of our sales team will enhance our ability to bring guests more one-of-a-kind experiences and provide further support to travel advisors,” said Kevin Smith, vice president of sales at American Queen Voyages.
“With Janelle Valentino’s promotion and the addition of Brandon Appel, our sales team will be more dynamic, propelling American Queen Voyages further in 2023.”
Valentino, who has over 15 years of experience, was previously a regional account manager with American Queen Voyages and will now lead the sales team as director of national accounts. She will also represent the Florida region.
Previously, Valentino worked as a business development manager at Regent Seven Seas Cruises and prior to that, she worked at Royal Caribbean Group as a supervisor for revenue administration.
Appel will represent the Northwest region. States in this region include Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
As part of the internal restructuring, the new assignments include:
- Darrell Wyatt represents the Midwest region (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin).
- Scott Moore represents the Northeast region (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont).
- Greg Abbott represents the Southwest region (Arizona, New Mexico, California, Colorado, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah).
