Explora Journeys announced its partnership with Steinway & Sons, the piano company known for handcrafting grand pianos since 1853.

“With the pianos supplied by Steinway & Sons and an enrichment program bringing the finest musicians in the world to interact with our guests, we are thrilled to take this journey together.”

Starting with the summer of 2023, acclaimed and new pianists will entertain guests with live performances that reflect the regions through which the ship will sail aboard Explora I, according to a press release.

Three Steinway Spirio piano players will be onboard each of Explora Journeys’ ships. 

A Celebratory Journey from Québec to New York City is scheduled for October 3, 2023 and will be joined by four Steinway Artists. The ship will call at La Baie (Saguenay), Baie-Comeau, Havre-Saint-Pierre, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and Halifax, before arriving in New York, on October 13. 

Upon the ship’s arrival in New York, a morning VIP tour of the legendary Steinway workshops will be hosted which will give the guests a glimpse of the craftsmanship.
