The Chinese cruise business returned to life on December 9 in the form of the Nanhai Dream sailing from Sanya on a short cruise to the Xisha Islands.
Some 280 guests were onboard, and another ship, the Princess Changle, is also expected to shortly resume short cruises, also from Sanya, with limited capacity.
The ships are operating under new health and safety protocols.
