MSC Names Paolo Raia as Managing Director of Food and Beverage Division

Paolo RaiaMSC Cruises has appointed Paolo Raia as Managing Director of the company’s Genoa, Italy-based Food and Beverage Division, according to a press release.

He begins his new role today, reports to MSC Cruises’ CEO Gianni Onorato and joins the line’s senior management team.

Paolo was previously with Carnival Corporation for nearly seven years, most recently as Vice President – Global Strategic Sourcing in Miami, a role he started in March 2016. 

He has significant industry-specific experience, especially in procurement and logistics. In the cruise sector Paolo has effectively shaped and led a global sourcing strategy transformation across a range of brands and with teams across four continents. 

Prior to entering the cruise industry, Paolo spent 11 years at management consultancy firm Accenture where he led transformation projects across a range of industries.

He holds an Executive MBA in General Management from Milan’s SDA Bocconi School of Management and an economics degree from the Sapienza University of Rome.
