Victory Cruise Lines has reported that its inaugural season under the management of the American Queen Steamboat Company (AQSC0 has been a success.
Operated by the American Queen Steamboat Company, the line’s two identical 202-passenger ships transported nearly 5,500 guests in 2019, on the Great Lakes, Canadian Maritimes and Canada/New England.
“We are thrilled with the success of our first season managing Victory Cruise Lines,” said John Waggoner, founder and CEO of American Queen Steamboat Company. “We look forward to continuing to grow and expand our offerings with the same authenticity and passion for service that exists across our fleet of riverboats as we look to the 2020 season.”
During the season running May to October 2019, Victory Cruise Lines operated a total of 35 cruises, with 19 on the Victory I and 16 on the Victory II. Twelve cruises were completely sold out, while for 25 cruises occupancy reached 80 percent.
According to a company statement, Victory Cruise Lines will continue to expand its itineraries in 2020 with new journeys to the American Southeast, the Yucatan Peninsula, Costa Rica and Panama.
The company has another ship currently under construction, the Ocean Victory, which will offer expedition cruising in Alaska for the 2021 season.
