From May to September HTL Cruises’ Leonora sails for Danish tour operator Cruise2Go. The rest of the year the 138-passenger ship can be rented privately for river cruising, business events, parties, or as a floating hotel.

The ship gets rave reviews from Cruise2Go and its Scandinavian passengers who love that they can communicate in their native language. Cruise2Go also sees a fair number of Dutch, German, and Turkish passengers for summer cruising on the vessel, according to the 2020 European River Cruise Market Report by Cruise Industry News.

“We have a really strong cooperation with the ship owner and catering company, which always give us the same high level of service,” said Frederik Ipsen, Cruise2Go owner.

Cruise2Go usually sails the ship on the Rhine between Amsterdam and Strasbourg, France, but occasionally takes the Danube from Beograd. Cruise2Go also occasionally sails her for off-season Christmas and New Years mini-cruises.

With 25 years in business, Arnhem, Netherlands-based HTL touts flexibility and hospitality as its core values. The Leonora features an elevator between its three decks, a gym and a jacuzzi. She is Dutch flagged, meeting the safety requirements of Dutch Maritime law.

The 110-meter long Leonora was built for Avalon Cruises in 2008. Originally named the Avalon Scenery – the first of the Scenery Class – she was made to sail the Rhone and Saone Rivers between Chalon-sur-Saône and Arles.
