V.Ships Tapped for Titanic II Project

Blue Star Line has announced the appointment of V.Ships as the ship management services partner for the Titanic II project.

Commenting on the announcement, V.Ships Leisure Director Per Bjornsen said: “This process showcases the full spectrum of how ship management can add value to the management of a cruise vessel from the very beginning – long before the first steel is even cut – functioning as a partner for outsourcing, not just a technical manager.”

V.Ships was also recently named as the technical manager for Antarctica21’s Magellan Explorer.

“Along with the project’s other partners, including Deltamarin and Tillberg Design, V.Ships Leisure will provide technical and hotel cruise operation insight and support during the project development, tender process, newbuilding supervision and entry into service,” V.Ships, said, in a statement. “This project aims to recreate the luxurious period aesthetic of the original Titanic, with the same cabin layout and interiors as the original, yet at the same time creating a modern vessel that fully integrates the latest safety procedures and technology.”
