AIDAnova Stern Section Undocked

AIDAnova, the world’s first LNG-powered cruise ship, saw its stern section emerge at Meyer Werft on a snowy Monday afternoon.

The section, measuring 120 meters long, 42 meters wide and 19 decks high is the first of two ship modules that will be unpacked and pieced together in Papenburg.

The ship will begin service in late 2018 using four dual-fuel engines burning LNG.
