The Port of Cromarty Firth announced on Friday the appointment their new Cruise Manager, Allison McGuire, as the port marks another record-breaking year of cruise calls, according to a statement. 

McGuire, who has recently moved to Inverness, brings with her two decades of experience in the cruise industry, having worked for Saga Cruises in the UK and Oceania Cruises in Florida.

Having welcomed 45 percent more cruise passengers in 2017, generating £14 million for the Highland economy, McGuire is striving to build on the success of outgoing Cruise Manager, Captain Iain Dunderdale.

“I have a very large pair of shoes to fill, as Captain Dunderdale is a legend within the cruising world and he has built Invergordon up to be the busiest cruise destination in the country. I want to carry on Captain Dunderdale’s legacy and can’t wait to work with the great team at the Port.” said McGuire.
