Columbus Cruise Center Bremerhaven: End of Season Approaching

The 2017 cruise season is drawing to a close for the Columbus Cruise Center in Bremerhaven (CCCB). This year’s highlight was the arrival of four vessels on September 7, with the Amadea, Albatros and Artania from Phoenix Reisen, and the Costa Magica, all berthed at the Columbus Quay at the same time.

According to the CCCB, the Amadea was the first to arrive at 6:45 am, followed by Costa Magica at 7:30, the Albatros and the Artania completed the foursome at 8:15 and 9:00.

On this one day CCCB welcomed a total of almost 8,000 passengers to Bremerhaven. About 2,800 of these were transit passengers from the Magica who had booked excursions to Bremen and Bremerhaven. And 5,400 either embarked on or ended their cruise.

Next, the CCCB is expecting three ships on Sept. 23: the Amadea, the Astor and the Seven Seas Navigator.
