Following the cancellation of a number of cruises aboard the Carnival Fascination departing from San Juan, the ship will now substitute in for a handful of Carnival Elation sailings.
The Elation’s month-long Sept. drydock was turned upside down when the vessel had to be made seaworthy on short notice to avoid Hurricane Irma. The ship was forced to leave the shipyard for a number of days, according to Carnival, delaying the drydock.
Thus, the Fascination, a sister ship to the Elation, will cover her sailings until the Elation’s drydock is finished at Grand Bahama Shipyard.
Passengers can expect similar accommodations and features, and Carnival is throwing in a $50 onboard credit per stateroom.
The Elation’s drydock is set to conclude by Sept. 26.
