“We already have two cruise ships booked for 2018, another two for 2019, and we are in the process of providing new shore excursions to meet their needs,” said Mark Exeter, industry development officer, South West Development Commission, overseeing Bunbury’s cruise activity.

The new tours will include private transfers and are highlighted by a so-called new Aboriginal Experience Tour with a local Elder. In 2018, there will be another new attraction, a Dolphin Discovery Center, which will also offer digital experiences for those who don’t want to get their feet wet.

The port provides free shuttle service from the wharf area into town. There are also cruise ambassadors on-hand to point guests in the right direction, said Exeter.

A significant outer harbor redevelopment program is in the planning stages, and will include a new tender facility.

“Our goal is to provide high quality experiences for all passengers, and where possible, the crew,” said Exeter.
