Rosmorport Completes First Black Sea Cruise with Prince Vladimir

Rosmorport has reported a successful first cruise for the Prince Vladimir, with the ship debuting in the Black Sea for a series of summer cruises for the Russian market.

Rosmorport works to develop Russian maritime infrastructure and is behind the new operation. The agency acquired the Royal Iris earlier this year from Mano Maritime and refurbished the ship.

The first cruise went as scheduled, sailing seven-nights from Sochi on June 11, according to a statement. The vessel overnighted in Yalta, for guests to “admire the sights of the southern coast of Crimea,” and also called at Novorossyisk and Sevastopol.

The ship was said to be about 50 percent full, with 400 guests aboard for the inaugural sailing. Interporting is available at all ports, allowing guests to sail from multiple destinations and also for shorter durations. For week-long trips, the ship sails on Sundays from Sochi.

Rosmorport added that it expects to expand its cruise operation with more ships and new itineraries in the near future.
