Palermo will get winter calls from the Costa Diadema for the 2018 winter season, a port spokesperson told Cruise Industry News.
Next year the port will see a small decrease in traffic however, with 450,000 passengers expected, which is down from 470,000 forecast for 2017.
There are no additional fees for vessels opting to overnight in the city. The port has its eyes on a future revitalization of its cruise ship facilities, including new infrastructure and security measures.
