PortMiami Set to Develop New Terminal for Norwegian

PortMiami is moving forward to construct a brand new $100 million cruise terminal (Terminal B) for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, which will get preferential use of the terminal.

The new Terminal B will be able to handle two megaships, according to a resolution approved by Miami-Dade county.

Norwegian will also agree to 52 calls a year at Terminal B, with ships above the 3,000 passenger mark using the facility.

The agreement runs through Sept. 2026 with a five-year option taking it through Sept. 2031.

In the same resolution, the port will also renew the line’s deal for Terminal C, and in return, gets an increased minimal annual passenger guarantee from the cruise line.

Cruise Terminal J will continue to see preferential berthing rights for Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises vessels as part of the deal.
