Sika, a premier supplier of adhesives, sealants and acoustic materials, is exhibiting next week at a South Florida cruise trade show.

Sika’s Marine division will display a wide range of technologies for ship construction and refurbishment, with particular emphasis on products for flooring, including:

• Sikafloor® Marine Litosilo FC mortar, for ship flooring refurbishment, which is walkable after only 2 hours

• Sikafloor® Marine – 118 FC, a smooth, self-levelling compound with 35 MPa compressive strength

• Sikafloor® Marine VEM, a visco-elastic mortar with a loss factor at 22%

“In addition to our industry-leading acoustic flooring products, Sika Marine will also have on display our latest developments in decorative flooring. This includes our revolutionary synthetic teak decking system, which combines a classic aesthetic with superior durability,” said Tony Gray, Business Development Manager for Sika Wind Energy and Marine.

Sika marine flooring products provide noise reduction values for floating floors and lowest building height for A-60 floors, the company said.
