Four ports across Jamaica hosted a record nine cruise ships last Wednesday, as three ships called in Ocho Rios, three in Montego Bay, two in Falmouth and one in Port Antonio.
It beat Jamaica’s own cruise ship record by two ships, and saw some 20,000 visitors on the island.
2016-2017 has been a record season for the island, which is predicting another record for cruise calls next year as well.
In December, Jamaica hosted six ships and 15,000 passengers on a single day, with the big news being a Pullmantur call into Kingston, which is making its way into the cruise port portfolio the country offers.
