MV Werften Names New Managing Director of Finance and Administration

Richard GruenhagenMV Werften has appointed Richard Gruenhagen as Managing Director of Finance and Administration, according to a statement.

He will reinforce the Management Board of the shipbuilding group effective immediatel, said the shipyard. 

Gruenhagen graduated from Indiana University, is a Certified Public Accountant (USA), has experience as Executive Financial Management Professional, broad business experience as CFO, Director of Finance, Chief Accountant and as Head FP&A & Controlling in large global companies and startups, incl. ABB and GE. Most recently, Gruenhagen worked as CFO at DHL Logistics in Switzerland.

“I am very proud and happy to contribute to the development of MV Werften Our newbuilding program ‘made in MV’ requires an efficient restructuring of the company and innovation. Positioning (the yard) optimally and establishing the company in the global cruise ship building industry is an exciting task to which I will dedicate all my energy,” stated Gruenhagen.

“With Richard Gruenhagen we have won a highly qualified finance expert for the top management of our group,” explained CEO Jarmo Laakso. “He will continue to take our chosen strategy forward, provide us with impulses for our future, and help us to develop MV Werften successfully. I look forward to working with Mr. Gruenhagen.”
